The Dirty Protest is the first global initiative uniting clean ocean partners across the world to end sewage discharge.
Approximately 80% of global sewage is discharged into the oceans without treatment, endangering marine ecosystems, aquatic life, seagrass habitats, and coral reefs. This pollution leads to significant health risks for people who swim in these waters or consume seafood from affected areas.
The Dirty Protest needed a site with a petition where people can sign their name and then get that printed using Shit Ink – an ink made from sewage collected around drains pipes during spills.
The printed signature will then get delivered to the responsible politician in your country once local petition requirements are reached.
With 1 million signatures The Dirty Protest will be delivered to the European Parliament and any other intergovernmental organisations we think can help make a change.
By endorsing the petition, you contribute not just to the local efforts but also join a worldwide initiative aimed at safeguarding our shared oceans.
